Trade System

If you’d like to trade items in a safe manner, you can do so with the trade system. It works like this:

  1. Trades have global range (You can trade someone from anywhere).
  2. One player must invite the other to trade by typing /trade <player> in the text chat – and then pressing enter (They can also crouch in-game and then right-click the player they wish to invite to a trade).
  3. The player will see the invitation in chat that will contain clickable accept or deny links (They can also type /trade accept or /trade deny in chat).
  4. Once accepted an inventory will open on both player’s screens. Each player can only place or remove items from their side of the inventory (Which will be the left side for each player). They will see the opposing player’s offering on the other side of the inventory (The right side). Glass panes separate the two sides. The Terracotta blocks in the middle represent each player’s “status”. Light Gray Terracotta LIGHT_GRAY_TERRACOTTA means that a player has not added any items. Red Terracotta RED_TERRACOTTA means that a player has added items, but has not indicated they are ready to finalize the trade – they may still want to see what you will offer. Lime Terracotta LIME_TERRACOTTA indicates that the player is happy with the current trade offer – and has an “acceptedstatus.
  5. Players can click their clay block to switch to the accepted status. Once both players have done this, a 5 second countdown will begin. If either play makes any changes to their offer during the countdown – both player’s status blocks will turn back to Red Terracotta RED_TERRACOTTA, and they will need to both switch their terracotta blocks to green once again, to restart the final trade countdown.
  6. If the countdown completes, the respective items will be moved to the other player’s inventory, and a list indicated what items you lost and gained will be put in the chat.

A trade can be cancelled at any time by clicking the cancel icon BARRIER in the trade inventory – or by pressing escape to close the inventory. All trades are logged and can be reviewed by moderators. If you need more information you can review the plugin’s documentation page – but be aware – we make many customization’s to the plugins we use, and the plugin page documentation includes administrative commands that players will not have permissions to use.
