Item Recovery

Everything on the server is logged and can be retrieved by admins in most cases. However, In an effort to automate things and make it easier for both the staff and the players – you can retrieve any items destroyed within the last 2 hours (of when you open the recover menu) without needing to talk to an admin.

  • Command – The command opens a GUI that supports pagination and allows players to get more info on (and recover) their lost dropped items.

    Usage: /recover

  • Information/Details – Hovering over an item will list all it’s details and how, when, and where the item was lost. You can then click any item to recover it. Shulker Boxes & Bundles are supported, but their behavior may change based on how they were destroyed:

    • If lost in the void or naturally despawned shulker boxes/bundles will appear as one item in the GUI – and they will contain the items that were originally inside of them.
    • If destroyed via fire, lava, or cactus – the shulker box/bundle will show up as empty, and then there will be separate listings for each set of items that they contained. This is due to quirks in how shulker boxes/bundles work under certain conditions.
  • Recover Time – There is a 2 Hour window for players to recover their items.

  • Other Details – The GUI will try and “compress” similar item events that happened right after another. As an example, if you tossed 3 stacks of logs into the void one stack after another, all 3 of those events would show as “one” item in the GUI, and the “amount” would reflect the total quantity. It will not combine events that are too far apart, have different destruction methods, or different item information.
  • Important Note – If you drop an item from your inventory on the ground – and then leave the chunk it was in (Causing the chunk to unload from the server). This item was never technically “destroyed” and therefore won’t show up in the recovery menu. Instead, that chunk would need to be re-loaded to find your items. In this case, the item is never actually destroyed – and therefore not recoverable.
